Introduction
Hamid was walking through the jungle when he heard a noise. He hid behind a tree, curious about what was happening. To his surprise, he saw a jackal with only three limbs. Hamid wondered, "How will this jackal survive in the jungle without a limb? How will it find food?" He decided to observe the jackal and see what would happen next.
The Jackal's Surprise
Soon after, a lioness appeared carrying a small deer in her mouth. She ate the deer, leaving the leftovers on the ground. After the lioness left, the jackal crept up to the carcass and began to eat the leftover food. Despite its disability, the jackal was able to find food and survive.
Hamid's Realization
Hamid was amazed. "Wonderful!" he thought. "Just as God provides food for the jackal, He will surely provide food for me too." Hamid decided to test this belief the next day. Instead of working to earn his living, he went to the mosque and sat outside, waiting for God to provide his food.
Waiting for God's Provision
People came and went, but no one offered Hamid any food or even asked who he was. As the day passed, Hamid grew hungrier and thirstier. By evening, he weakly called out, "O God, I am hungry and thirsty. When will you provide me with my food?"
God's Answer
God replied, "Hamid, even animals make their own efforts to find food. You, as a human being, have been blessed with hands, legs, and intelligence. How can you expect food to come to you unless you make an effort? Remember, God helps those who help themselves!"
Pearls of Wisdom
This story teaches us that while we must trust in God's provisions, we must also make our own efforts. Just as God provides for all living creatures, we too must work for our sustenance and take action to fulfill our needs.
